I am a CAD Specialist with over 25 years of Technical Drafting experience providing drawing support and designing/creating installation and submittal drawings for my clients within the Commercial Security Industry.

As an Independent Contractor, I am offering my Professional CAD Services to the Commercial Physical & Electronic Security Industry. My area of work is Physical Electronic Security Systems Installation and Integration design with the typical system types being Access Control, Video Surveillance, Intrusion Detection, & Voice/Video Intercoms.

Through the use of AutoCAD Design Software, I am able to create the technical drawings (prints) needed to develope a Security system Installation package. A typical installation package consist of a set of drawings illustrated by various drawing types to show all systems mounting, power, and communications needs for full integration and deployment.

CAD or CADD (Computer-Aided Design & Drafting) is design computer-based software used to create, design, and display 2D and 3D drawings.  I use AutoCAD exclusively to create the many technical drawings needed for a security system installation package. These drawings include the following types:

• System Device Layouts
• Component Mounting Details
• General/Custom Sheet Notes
• Component Point-to-point Wiring
• Component Head-end Elevations
• Installation Mounting Details
• System Riser Diagrams
• System Block Diagrams

These drawings are an example of what typically makes up the overall drawing set (or submittal). They play a crucial role in displaying the complete integration and functionality of the Security System(s) Integrated design.

Physical Security is the protection of people, facilities, information, and physical assets from actions and events that could cause damage or loss from real-world threats. It includes physical deterrence and detection of intrusion through the monitoring of facilities with the use of Electronic Security Systems technologies such as card readers, electronic sensors, motion detection, and camera surveillance. 

The integration of these technologies is used to create a well-balanced security system. Security integration is made up of the following system types:

• Access Control Systems
• Video System Surveillance
• Video Intercoms
• Intrusion Detection Systems

In today's world of complex Security Systems it's crucial when integrating systems technologies to have a CAD Drafting team that can effectively illustrate the interconnections, detaIls, and notes of the system being designed and installed.   

CAD Design and the integration of security systems has become my primary focus and life long career.  I have over 25 years of experience working in the commercial security industry supporting accounts and working with vatious sales and engineering teams.
